INTERPOL

The International Criminal Police Organization, INTERPOL, is the world's largest police organization. INTERPOL provides access to its I-24/7 database and communication system to the JAITFs. INTERPOL further takes part in assessment missions, national and regional trainings and mentoring, regional and global meetings. It also organizes joint operations to intensify surveillance and control at international airports in which AIRCOP JAITFs participate and plays an important role in bridging the gaps between seizures and interceptions done by the JAITFs and post-seizure investigations.

I-24/7 is a global police communications system through which authorised law enforcement officers can share sensitive and urgent police information with their counterparts around the globe, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I-24/7 also enables investigators to access INTERPOL's range of criminal databases on suspected criminals or wanted persons, stolen and lost travel documents, stolen motor vehicles, fingerprints, DNA profiles, stolen administrative documents and stolen works of art.
