Biennial Reports Questionnaire (BRQ)

At its twentieth special session, the General Assembly called upon all States to report biennially to the Commission on Narcotic Drugs on their efforts to meet the goals and targets for the years 2003 and 2008. The Assembly requested the Commission to analyse those reports in order to enhance the cooperative effort to combat the world drug problem. The Biennial Reports Questionnaire (BRQ) is the instrument for reporting on progress made in implementing the action plans and measures adopted by the General Assembly at its twentieth special session.

The final report of the Executive Director of the UNODC based on the BRQs, documents E/CN.7/2008/2 and Add.1 to 6 submitted by governments was considered by the Commission on Narcotic Drugs at its 51 st session in March 2008.
