UNODC in Southern Africa: A regional overview

The South Africa Country Profile for 2002 provides an extensive overview of the drug and crime situation in the region along with the related problems of corruption and terrorism and the countermeasures being undertaken to meet these challenges. Although the profile focuses on current issues, it also tries to show how these problems arose and how they may evolve in the future. Additionally, the profile indicates the wide range of social, economic and other demographic influences that effect these complex problems, as well as their potential solutions.
